صفات مقایسه‌ای در زبان انگلیسی
در این درس یاد می‌گیریم چگونه از صفات مقایسه‌ای (Comparative Adjectives) برای مقایسه دو چیز یا فرد استفاده کنیم. این صفات نشان می‌دهند یک ویژگی بیشتر یا کمتر از دیگری دارد.
1. قاعده کلی
برای ساخت صفات مقایسه‌ای:
- برای صفات کوتاه (یک هجا یا دو هجا که با -y تمام نمی‌شوند)، به آخر صفت -er اضافه می‌کنیم: tall → taller, small → smaller
- اگر صفت به y ختم شود و قبل از آن حرف بی‌صدا باشد، y به i تغییر کرده و -er اضافه می‌شود: happy → happier, busy → busier
- برای صفات بلند (دو هجا یا بیشتر)، قبل از صفت more می‌آید: beautiful → more beautiful, interesting → more interesting
2. مثال‌های کاربردی
This house is bigger than that one.
My car is smaller than yours.
She is taller than her brother.
This movie is more interesting than the last one.
Today is colder than yesterday.
My bag is heavier than your bag.
My car is smaller than yours.
She is taller than her brother.
This movie is more interesting than the last one.
Today is colder than yesterday.
My bag is heavier than your bag.
3. منفی کردن و تاکید
می‌توانیم از not as ... as برای نشان دادن کمتر بودن ویژگی استفاده کنیم:
This book is not as easy as the other one.
She is not as tall as her sister.
She is not as tall as her sister.
4. نکات مهم
- در مقایسه‌ها، همیشه دو چیز یا دو فرد را با than مقایسه می‌کنیم: bigger than, more beautiful than
- برخی صفات نامنظم مقایسه‌ای دارند که باید حفظ شوند: good → better, bad → worse, far → farther/further
- اگر بخواهیم بیشترین درجه را بیان کنیم، از the -est یا the most استفاده می‌کنیم: the tallest, the most beautiful
