Formal vs Informal Grammar Choices
در این درس با تفاوتهای کلیدی بین ساختارهای رسمی و غیررسمی آشنا میشویم. انتخاب درست سطح رسمی یا غیررسمی در نوشتار و مکالمه نشاندهنده بلوغ زبانی، انسجام متن و دقت آکادمیک است. این مهارت در سطح C1 و بالا اهمیت ویژه دارد.
1. تفاوت مفهومی
- Formal: ساختارها و واژگان استاندارد، مناسب رایتینگ آکادمیک و گزارشها
- Informal: محاورهای، کوتاه، معمولاً در مکالمه دوستانه یا متنهای غیررسمی

2. انتخاب زمانها و افعال
در نوشتار رسمی معمولاً از perfect tenses و modal verbs استفاده میشود.
Informal: Lots of studies showed this.
- Formal → have demonstrated / might have been / could
- Informal → showed / might’ve been / can
3. واژگان و اصطلاحات
Formal language از واژگان دقیق و تخصصی استفاده میکند، Informal زبان روزمره دارد.
Informal: We did the experiment in a lab.
4. کوتاهسازیها و contractions
- Formal → do not, cannot, it is not
- Informal → don't, can't, it's not
Informal: Participants don't show much difference.
5. Passive vs Active
در نوشتار رسمی، استفاده از Passive Voice برای تمرکز بر عمل یا نتایج رایج است.
Informal: We analyzed the samples using standard methods.
6. Paragraph & Sentence Structure
Formal writing → جملات طولانیتر و پیچیدهتر، با subordinate clauses و linking devices.
Informal writing → جملات کوتاه، ساده و مستقیم.
Informal: The data wasn’t clear, but it looks like there’s a positive trend.
7. کاربرد در گزارش و مقاله
- Formal → مناسب مقالههای آکادمیک، گزارشهای علمی، essays رسمی
- Informal → مناسب ایمیل دوستانه، یادداشتهای شخصی، مکالمه
8. تمرینهای جدی
- Rewrite the informal sentence formally: "We found out that the results were good."
- Choose the formal option: "The company might lose money" → a) might lose, b) could incur losses, c) maybe lose
- Decide which is formal: "She can't attend the meeting" → a) She cannot attend, b) She can't go, c) She won’t attend
- Transform informal to formal: "Lots of students did well in the exam."
