Conjunctions & Linking Words

در این درس، یاد می‌گیریم چگونه از Conjunctions و Linking Words برای اتصال جملات، ایده‌ها و پاراگراف‌ها استفاده کنیم. استفاده صحیح از این کلمات باعث روان‌تر و حرفه‌ای‌تر شدن نوشتار و مکالمه می‌شود.

1. تعریف Conjunctions و Linking Words

Conjunctions کلماتی هستند که جملات، عبارات و کلمات را به یکدیگر وصل می‌کنند. Linking Words نیز کلماتی هستند که رابطه منطقی بین جملات یا پاراگراف‌ها را نشان می‌دهند.

2. انواع Conjunctions

a) Coordinating Conjunctions

این نوع برای اتصال دو جمله مستقل استفاده می‌شوند: and, but, or, so, yet.

I wanted to go for a walk, but it started raining.
She likes tea and coffee.

b) Subordinating Conjunctions

برای اتصال جمله وابسته به جمله اصلی استفاده می‌شوند: because, although, since, if, when.

I stayed home because I was sick.
Although it was raining, we went outside.

c) Correlative Conjunctions

این نوع جفت هستند و با هم استفاده می‌شوند: either…or, neither…nor, both…and.

Either you apologize or leave.
Both my brother and sister are doctors.

3. Linking Words برای ساختار متن

a) ترتیب و زمان

  • first, next, then, finally

b) دلیل و نتیجه

  • because, therefore, as a result, so

c) تضاد و مقایسه

  • however, although, on the other hand, whereas

d) اضافه کردن اطلاعات

  • and, moreover, in addition, also

4. تمرین کوتاه

  • I like coffee, ___ I don’t like tea. → ____________________
  • She stayed home ___ she was sick. → ____________________
  • ___ my brother, I also play football. → ____________________
  • We can go to the park ___ to the museum. → ____________________
  • He was tired; ___, he finished his homework. → ____________________

جواب‌ها:

  • I like coffee, but I don’t like tea.
  • She stayed home because she was sick.
  • Like my brother, I also play football.
  • We can go to the park or to the museum.
  • He was tired; however, he finished his homework.

5. نکات مهم

  • استفاده صحیح از Conjunctions و Linking Words باعث واضح‌تر شدن ارتباط جملات می‌شود.
  • هماهنگی بین جمله اصلی و وابسته ضروری است تا معنی درست منتقل شود.
  • Linking Words می‌توانند موقعیت، علت، نتیجه، تضاد و ترتیب ایده‌ها را مشخص کنند.
